Description:   Four prints of Canadian scenes by James Pattison Cockburn (1779-1847) a 'garrison artist' who had been a student at the Royal Military Academy at Woolwich. He served six years in Quebec as Commander of the Royal Artillery in Canada, and sketched many scenes in Upper and Lower Canada. These scenes depict Fredericton, Montreal, Ottawa, and the ramparts of Quebec The prints are from the 1930's. The frames all have the same dimensions, three are matching light colour, one darker.
