Description:    Made of hand-cut and painted wood, with papier mashé head and dressed with a crepe paper collar. The figure is articulated so that it flexes and rises up the stick when the lower block is pushed upwards. It was obtained at an estate sale of 1920s-30s folk art. Condition: Excellent.

Dimensions:  Width 4 3/8", front-to-back 3 3/8", height 2"
Description:   An almost semicircular birch bark box bound with sweet grass and ornamented with white, green and red porcupine quills. This was obtained from an estate sale of 1920'-30s Indian artifacts and folk art. Condition: Very good, but not perfect. The back of the box shows loss of a few quills; around the top of the box and the hinge area the original stitching has been reinforced with newer black thread. Given the age and materials I would certainly give it very good!
