William Henry Bartlett (1809-1854), a British landscape artist, produced views of many parts of the world and his work was serialized in a number of travel volumes of the nineteenth century. Prints of his work were a great commercial success. He made a number of trips to North America in the 1830s to record architectural monuments, natural wonders and city scenes. This print is from an 1840's folio and has been professionally matted and framed.
