Phoenix Antiques provides Paul
McReavy,
a retired private investigator, with the means to indulge his passion
for beautiful, varied old electric lighting, for Victorian prints rich in story,
for fine decorative pieces and elegant furnishings.
Malcolm Telford specializies in painted furniture, folk art and primitives.
Malcolm is a retired biologist who, as a hobby, collected and refinished antique
furniture for forty years – and has made an impressive personal collection of
EAPG goblets. Malcolm and his wife Sally have made numerous collecting
trips to the Maritimes. No doubt Malcolm's background as a biologist accounts for the
animalistic emphasis in his acquisition of folk art. |

Paul and Malcolm first met some thirty-five years ago over titanic battles on a chessboard. Today they follow their individual interests to display a diverse mixture of fine and funky, elegant and primitive, antiques. Whenever the whim seizes them, they go on foraging trips to Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and, less often, Newfoundland.
